Finding a lost ipad or iphone

A great feature of Apple devices is the 'find my device'. If it is lost, you can log into www.icloud.com and track on a map where it is and wipe if desired. Just recently, I came across someone who tried this, but it did not work!!

It turned out that they had now turned on the feature when setting it up. What is more important, the Apple insurance was only claimable if this feature was turned on. Luckily the iPad was found.

So, please make sure with your Apple devices the both the location and find device setting are turned on.

Win settings the other way...GOD MODE

“God Mode” can mean a few different things depending on the context, but I’m guessing you’re talking about the hidden Windows feature that gives you supercharged access to system settings.

On Windows 10 or 11, you can unlock it like this:

  1. Right-click your desktop and select New > Folder.
  2. Name the folder EXACTLY like this, inc dots and colons and brackets
    GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
  3. Hit Enter. The folder icon will change, and when you open it, you’ll see a master list of over 200 system settings—everything from Device Manager to Power Options—all in one place.
  4. Note: the ICON is the one shown,  but it may not havea name label with it.

It’s not quite omnipotence, but it’s a tidy way to feel like a Windows wizard.

Were you thinking of this kind of God Mode, or something more game-like and invincible?
